Eminem lent verses and beats to Busta Rhymes, Trick Trick, Obie Trice, 50 Cent, and T.I., and increased production output between his "Encore" and "Relapse" albums.
Introduced in the early 1990s, the art of the feature in hip-hop is an opportunity for exposure and favors. It provides songwriting help and beatmaking, and no one has exploited these genre-wide opportunities more than rapper Eminem. With features and production across the hip-hop world, Eminem has lent verses at a high rate since his third album “The Eminem Show.” Songs Featuring Eminem, including Trick Trck featuring EminemFrom Eminem’s 2003 album The Eminem Show, the rapper began producing songs and lending his vocals to a slew of industry peers. Many of these peers were within his label, and he helped to promote sales from within through the popularity of a song featuring Eminem. There are three songs featuring Eminem on Obie Trice’s freshman album Cheers, and one on his sophomore effort Second Round’s On Me. Songs produced by Eminem were also “There They Go,” “We All Die One Day,” “Outro,” and “Hey Lady.” Eminem lent vocals to two 50 Cent songs on Get Rich or Die Trying, as well as “Gatman and Robin” on The Massacre, and “Peep Show” on Curtis. Eminem raps the chorus on Tony Yayo’s “Drama Setter,” and Proof’s “Oil Can Harry.” He produced and featured on Lloyd Banks’ “Warrior (Remix),” and Eminem raps on Bizarre’s “Hip-Hop” from Hannicap Circus. Another label-mate, also recorded two popular songs. "Who Want It by Trick Trick featuring Eminem, was a 2008 standout. And "Detroit City" by Trick Trick featuring Eminem was another Detroit anthem filled with Eminem raps. Eminem Raps and Produces, including T.I. featuring EminemSongs featuring Eminem recorded outside of the rapper’s own label have included many of the biggest names in rap, as many continue to seek vocals from one of the highest selling draws in the genre, who also produces many of the beats that he raps over. Eminem has most notably been featured on the T.I. song featuring Eminem. “Touchdown” on T.I. vs. T.I.P., “I’ll Hurt You” from The Big Bang Theory, “Welcome to D-Block” are among other songs featuring Eminem. He has been featured on posthumous 2Pac albums, on “One Day at a Time” on the Resurrection soundtrack, and multiple songs produced by Eminem on Loyal to the Game. Eminem has also been posthumously paired with the Notorious B.I.G. twice, once on Biggie’s “Dead Wrong” and then again on a tribute song to the rapper titled “The Most Shady.” Eminem has featured on songs with other industry giants like Jay-Z, on “Renegades” from The Blueprint, and with Dr. Dre on “Forgot About Dre” from The Chronic 2001. Since his emergence in the rap industry in the late 1990s, Eminem has been reknowned for his proficiency and work ethic, and has demonstrated why with a bevy of highly-south after verses and beats featured on albums and with artists throughout hip-hop.
