Exit 13 is a milestone in LL Cool ‘s career, not only it is the last album for Def Jam Recordings a label he helped build, but maybe the last album of his career. However things have seem to come full circle and LL Cool J has grown and changed the world of Rap and Hip-Hop and proving that after 25 years he has staying power and hip-hop isn’t dead. On his latest album ‘Exit 13’ LL Cool J continues his vibrant, trailblazing career. ‘Exit 13’ showcases LL Cool J’s versatility from the slick, hip-hop rhymes that are reminiscent of G.O.A.T. to LL’s suave and sexy side he shows why the ladies love cool James. With ‘Exit 13’ LL Cool J pulls out all the stops an album jam-packed with collaborators as diverse as 50 Cent, Wyclef Jean, Richie Sambora and The Dream in addition to these artists LL also utilizes help from producers such as the Suits and DJ Scratch. ‘ Exit 13 is the album that LL Cool J fans have been waiting for. It incorporates everything that is rap and hip-hop with great rhymes and synthesized keyboards. Finally, “ It’s time for war” is an in your face declaration of the issues facing the American people and the struggle of fighting for what you believe in. LL Cool J is an innovative artists and is one of the few hip-hop stars to sustain successful recording career for decades. In addition, to being an accomplished artist, he is also an accomplished actor, write and most recently he added designer to his credit.
